if its not a sanctuary, it shouldn't have animals. profiting off of exploiting animals has only caused unnecessary harm

I feel for the zookeepers at toronto zoo. Ive been behind the scenes before and I know how well they take care of these animals and ik how tight protocal is for animal protection so I know they are probably upset with themselves for this happening

Alright as someone who goes to that zoo weekly for a work related thing. I can say they put a lot of money into making sure they are safe and have healthy lives. Accidents happen it can happen with a dog even at home.

These animals do not belong in Toronto. We already struggle with spending nearly six months without proper sunlight, and we know how deeply that affects our mental health. Now imagine what it is like for animals who are meant to live in an entirely different climate, forced to adapt to the environment and conditions of Toronto. If it is difficult for us, how much harder must it be for creatures whose bodies and instincts were never meant for this place?👎

The cage that was supposed to “protect” him is the reason for his passing. Giraffes can live 30 years, how sad, he literally had so much life ahead of him. I seen him when he was only a few years old, may he rest in peace. A senseless tragedy due to neglect.

the toronto zoo is banned form having elephants because they kept dying and no one could conclusively say why …. maybe let’s just say not to the zoo

How was this able to happen and for it to be stuck long enough to die of MUSCLE EXERTION means it was struggling for a long time.
