I skied Caberfae Peaks back in 2001. If you really want good Midwest skiing, you gotta go up to Mount Bohemia. That’s about as close as anything you’ll get to out west.

As a MI skier— don’t let this reflect all of our “backcountry” lol !!! Mount Bohemia is the closest thing we have to out west, and it’s damn close. But also a lot of our smaller “mountains” have actual back country
