I would not recommend the random shop in your town that you havnt seen any of their work and your sister even went there and based on her experience their pricing is odd and they couldnt even connect lines but you still go and get three tattoos for your first time and the guy answers his phone and goes outside wearing gloves and doesn't change before starting your tattoo.

I got my first tattoo at a tattoo convention. I figured out what tattoo I wanted and then looked at all of the tattoo artists that would be there and looked at their portfolios to see who had the most tattoos that looked like what I wanted. Then I contacted them and booked an appointment. It’s basically exactly what you recommended except I didn’t know the name of the style.

my issue is looking for a traditional artist that has fun with the style and finding out the good ones are out of the country or a flight away. an example of something I want are this artist called redliptattoo and I'm struggling so hard finding anyone close to that skill near the south
