This was great. I didn’t know much about the San Diego scene other than Blink 182 coming from there. I grew up in Casper WY so our “scene” was a few local bands, Pinhead Circus and The Gamits from Denver, and whoever the promoters could get to swing through here after they played in Denver. We got to see a ton of Dr. Strange and Fat bands like The Bollweevils, Rhythm Collision, Mandingo, 88 Fingers Louie, Good Riddance, Schleprock, etc. It wasn’t the biggest or best but it was what we did every weekend and it was amazing.
