I was prescribed humera on Jan 13th and MANY denials later I finally received Enbrel today. I’m finally on something 46 days later. During the waiting process I formed new symptoms and pain locations.

Thank you for sharing this struggle. The transparency isn’t always there and that disconnect causes unnecessary frustration and discouragement for all involved. I feel like insurance dictates more than they should be able to. You’re the provider and know what the patient needs. That should be enough for an approval, especially when you’re uploading all the clinical notes. So thank you for your hardwork and transparency.

I've been prescribed a med that has a short life span excellent I suppose but the side effects are high clot risk and I've had a family history of clots and been treated so many times for phelbitis I'm so fed up and scared. I don't want to take meds for this reason

It’s very frustrating for patients and for sure for doctors as well… my doctor gave me samples of xeljanz and it was working the pain and inflammation decrease a lot… but guess what? Insurance denied it!! So now I have to change to Humira because of insurance 😡 … just why? Why will someone has to go to the struggle of changing medicines with the unknown if the new medicine will work or not… it’s stressful enough for us patients to have to deal with a chronic disease to also deal with insurance. Doctor prescribe a medicine to a patient for a reason!! Why insurance have to decide what medicine you need! They are not doctors! 😡😤 insurance is a scam!
