🚨 15-YEAR-OLD BOY SHOT AND KILLED IN THE BRONX AFTER REPORTEDLY EXPERIENCING SCHOOL BULLYING A heartbreaking tragedy has left a New York family devastated after 15-year-old Javits Frimpong was shot and killed while walking to school in the Bronx on Thursday, October 29, 2026. Javits had reportedly moved to New York from Ghana approximately one year ago. According to his father, Thomas Frimpong, his son had dreams of becoming a doctor and was focused on his education. But behind those dreams, there was reportedly a troubling situation developing at school. His father says Javits had repeatedly complained about being bullied by another student, particularly during lunchtime. He reportedly told his father that another student kept bothering him whenever he went to eat. Even more concerning, his father says the complaints had been brought to the attention of school officials. According to reports, at least two students had recently been suspended over bullying involving Javits. Then came Thursday morning. At approximately 9:30 a.m., while walking near East 171st Street and Third Avenue in the Bronx, Javits was shot in the stomach. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, but sadly, doctors could not save him. He was just 15 years old. Surveillance footage reportedly captured a teenager running while being chased by someone dressed in black before the victim collapsed. Now, his father believes his son’s death could be connected to the bullying he had experienced. There are concerns that the shooting may have been retaliation, but investigators have not confirmed a motive. Police were reportedly searching for three teenage suspects, believed to be between 16 and 18 years old. No arrests had been reported in the latest coverage. And this brings us to some serious questions. How many times must a child report being bullied before someone takes action? If students were already suspended over bullying allegations, what additional measures were put in place to protect Javits? Was there proper follow-up? Was his safety taken seriously? Could something more have been done? We must be careful not to accuse anyone without evidence, but these questions deserve answers. Bullying is not simply children being children. Repeated intimidation, threats and harassment can have devastating consequences. Schools, parents and communities must take warning signs seriously. Javits wanted to become a doctor. He should have had the opportunity to grow up, pursue his dreams and live his life. Instead, a father is mourning his 15-year-old son. A child who speaks up about being bullied deserves protection, not another reason to be afraid. Rest in peace, Javits Frimpong. 🕊️ 👇 LET’S TALK ABOUT IT: Do you believe schools are doing enough to protect children who report being bullied? And what more should schools be required to do when a student repeatedly reports being targeted? Share your thoughts respectfully. Let’s keep this conversation going. #JavitsFrimpong #BronxNews #NYCNews #StopBullying #SchoolSafety
