I did the same thing with my 3 boys bathroom. The shiplap started to bubble because of the wet towels. I would recommend real wood or hooks that stick out fathers from the wall so the wet towels doesn’t make it bubble.

They have vinyl boards for the bathroom. You need to use those in bathrooms so the moisture doesnt damage them.
