I worked 12 hour nights for 25 years as a nurse, which I preferred. We're moving around and doing our thing though, so it wasn't hard for me to stay awake

my son currently works overnight shift. I never call him because I don't want to disturb him. I wait for him to call. he works hard and always goes for extra shifts. especially at holidays for coworkers with family.

this is how i ended up with my husband❤️nightshift boredom in a regional jail. phone calls from towers and talking through intercoms boxes! always had a rule to never date coworkers but he definitely changed that! ❤️

There’s tons of stuff to do there’s always paperwork to do. There’s staff training modules you can do there’s usually hourly or sometimes 45 minute checks.

It’s hard when it’s not your natural rhythm. I remember my first ever double night flight as a BA stewardess. I got home at 8am and slept for 18 hours solid. Slept through my Very loud alarm (old fashioned clock with bells on top, right next to my bed) and missed my doctors appointment. Man I needed that sleep. Never got used to night flights.
