@kingoftropes: A small, lightly curated collection of art I've done in the past year or so for various reasons such thumbnail, holiday celebrations, or just concept art and sketching to help give people a good impression of the sort of work I can do! I've spent a lot of time working on animation, so sometimes I tend to neglect doing still drawing work, but with the upcoming release of Episode 1 of PVIMN, I'm hoping to get back doing some more intensive drawing like I'm used to doing! It's what I've spent most of my art career doing after all! I'm primarily a character artist but I have a decent bit of experience in background design given I do all of my own BGs, as well as general image editing and detailing. I tend to lean on a less is more approach to my style but I can render images with a good bit of detail if necessary. I also value authenticity and accuracy in my work, more than mere pastiche, I try to aim for a look that is truly in line with my inspirations while also maintaining my own personal touches and style. It's a delicate balance between homage and reinterpretation! 🎨 Art style: Late 90s and early 2000s Anime and Manga inspired, 2000s Western Cartoon fueled 🖌️ Techniques used: Cell shading and rim lighting 📚 Character story: Of some of the works posted here: PERSEPHONE VOLK IS MY NEMESIS: The story of Del Dooley, a high-school boy attempting to reach top student position in his school as tries and fails to overcome the whirlwind of emotions brought on by crush and student ranked just ahead of him, Persephone Volk. EMPEROAR: The adventures of a boy who gains the power to transform into a Kaiju-like beast by donning a special onesie he bought at a yard sale and fights interstellar forces of evil. PHANTOM EATER: In a world filled with ghosts and specters who haunt and harass all of mankind, a young man with the inexplicable power to not only eat but gain the powers of these otherworldly entities finds himself in the middle of crossfire of humanity and spiritkind's greatest conflict yet. 🖥️ Software or materials: Clip Studio Paint
