@gardeningincanada: Stop guessing. Start measuring. 🌱🌡️ Your soil temperature decides when seeds germinate, how fast roots grow, and whether your plants thrive… or just sit there judging you. Most cool-season crops (like peas and spinach) germinate around 4–10°C (40–50°F), but warm-season crops like tomatoes and peppers need soil closer to 16–21°C (60–70°F). Air temperature does NOT equal soil temperature. Using a soil thermometer helps you: • Prevent seed rot in cold soil • Avoid transplant shock • Improve germination speed • Increase root development • Time direct seeding correctly If you garden in a cold climate (Zone 2–4 👋), this tool is non-negotiable. #GardeningTips #SoilTemperature #SeedStarting #VegetableGarden #GardenScience
