@emmagriffinwitch: Hazel is one of the first trees to flower in the year. Right now they have Catkins hanging from the branches. These whisper from the earth saying, life is already returning, even if you can’t fully see it yet. I like to bring them into our home because they symbolise new beginnings and protection during transitions. You can place a small dried sprig above a doorway as the intention of guarding the home while the seasons shift. You could whisper a simple blessing as you place it. For your altar catkins represent the returning light and the stirring of life beneath the surface. Lay them across your altar cloth or place them in a simple jar. The white roses for me I associate them with ancestors or higher guidance because of their link to remembrance and purity of intention. I like to place them beside a candle when I’m asking for clarity. #springwitchcraft #witchcraft #springmagic
