My first solo trip was to Edinburgh! Probably not great for meeting people but I like to keep to myself so it was great for me. Super chill and walkable and I always felt safe.

I went to Antigua Guatemala, and it was really easy to social with others. I could social with people just by sitting at a bar there, I didn’t even need to stay at a hostel or join a tour group. The ‘social culture’ is baked into the town

my first solo trip was ireland. highly recommend!! I did meet up with a friend while there but half the time by myself and never felt unsafe. certain cities were easier to talk to people. Galway high recommend. Great night life!!

Heavy recommend Edinburgh in Scotland, great transport links, super walkable and was able to hike up a mini mountain to get stunning views of the beautiful architecture in the city. The locals were friendly and just felt very safe even at night 🥰🥰 and I say this as a hijabi

its always nice and important to brake this “dangerous” image from latin america 💕 Im brazilian and of course, there ate dangerous places like everywhere. But I have visited Rio and it was beautiful! So charming! Nothing bad happened. Same with other states. I live in Sao Paulo and its as normal as a big city can be, even with the dangerous parts.

I’d add Oslo Norway! Pretty much everyone speaks at least some English if not fluent, crime is essentially non existent, public transport is soo easy, my hostel was lovely but they also have hotels with small twin beds that are cheap, and the locals are just so happy
