I even dropped $20 on a Claude subscription just to start building my own integrations. I am configuring OpenClaw as a "Chief of Staff" for my family. The learning curve is steep but awesome. I am rotating through MCP Servers, Auth security, secret management, and least privilege. I have been layering in firewall rules at both the OS and network level, writing bash scripts for backups, and learning how to prompt with exclusion rules. This project hits every single skill set: security, development, and general IT infrastructure. The real win is more than just getting a personal assistant. It is the sheer adrenaline of testing your skills against something this powerful.
