$#BKDK | ib : @troubledduck \ @toraa | “The Boy Who Died Twice” WOAH GUYS HOW DO WE LIKE THIS STYLE HMMM HMMM 👀👀👀👀 at the beginning of making i lowkey was just gonna compose some videos and have this be a test on mograph style but then i got carried away and made myself cry while making the audio so that’s when i knew i had to make this a real bkdk angst edit okay so for my usual edits, i start with the song and story i want to tell before i start any sort of editing at all, but with this i just kinda started making crap and had the story build itself and so this whole edit has a bunch of different meanings and stories that i tried to put all into one 🥹🥹🥹 one of the main messages i was trying to convey was how katsuki found peace in his death by showing the color coming back into him and the world around him almost being child like i also tried to put more into that childhood feeling with having the Tvs show them as kids watching all might and then them — still kids btw— dying in war and ofc katsuki walking to his death and him and izuku as kids there waiting for him with their all might cards yay but i felt that wasn’t enough so i was also trying to show how izuku’s metaphorical “death” impacted katsuki so much to the point it feels katsuki himself died twice — his heart being physically broken and then mentally broken with the fact that izuku couldn’t be heroes with him. that’s why you see izuku’s photo that i edited in next to the flowers to kinda make it look like a funeral in that hospital room. and when izuku’s part keeps popping up you can kinda hear him speaking but all muffled from the perspective of katsuki because he’s thinking about all izuku things haha but in the end, i think the true meaning of this is “the boy who died twice” and how he truly felt peace in his real death but couldn’t stand the spiritual death of izukus and his’ dream. so yeah holy essay but i really was feeling things while making this. i love telling stories and showing to other people the ways i feel about things, and the best way i can tell stories is through edits!! :D so i hope you like this and tell me your interpretation please i want to hear all of yalls deep thoughts!!!
