As soon as I got into Claude code and learned what people are actually doing with this stuff… I realized the bubble is a myth

$1,000-$5,000/day/dev is an insane cost. What kind of investment returns will you need to justify that level of spend? I feel like most companies can’t afford that price

Nope. It can be perfectly be both. Market is hysterical and irrational. That’s the very definition of “bubble”

no, it's a bubble in the same way Internet commerce was a bubble - the expansion and the investment opportunity was real, but people who didn't know what they were doing overdid it. and lots of people lost money at the same time lots of people made money.

The economy can't support everything going to AI like that. It takes the footing out from the consumer base by removing mass workers. Without a healthy amount of consumers the extreme costs required to maintain this technology is going to become unachievable. It's a snake eating its own tail.

this isn't true at all lol. the dotcom bubble erased millions/billions in stock value from traditional media/non-tech companies in the lead up to the crash

None of these companies are profitable on the scale needed to justify the spend. It's all a race to a finish line with no prize money.

Still think this is another dot-com event. The Super Bowl ads reminded me of all the now-defunct dot-coms who spent millions to promote their services.

That money has to come from somewhere. It’s either gonna come from profits or labor, more than one way to crash
