My ADHD makes me immune to being hypnotised. My mind immediately slips away and I’m suddenly wondering stuff like where this chair was made, what the person who built it is doing right now, and if they’re even still alive etc, followed by endless other thoughts, like thousands of people trying to chat to me at once. So yeah, hypnosis wouldn’t work on me.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis. You have to allow the person into your mind. Some unconscious people are super susceptible to it though because they lack perspicacity and self awareness

Once I went to a hypnotherapy, as he was trying to hypnotise me, I couldn’t stop myself from thinking “but it’s not working” the guy talked away for 40 minutes and all I kept thinking throughout was “well this is a waste of money”. Then worse… I had to fake my response to his questions after I was magically reawakened 😂😂😂
