I’ve not had a full nights sleep for 10 years. I wake up exhausted, I’ve been to the Drs numerous times and they don’t do anything to help me. Some nights I get 3 hours of broken sleep. My best nights are a total of 6 hours broken sleep. My brain goes in to over drive, songs go round and round my head, sometimes it’s just the same line going round and round. Then I start thinking of something from years ago which has no relevance to the present. There’s days when I can barely function at work. I’ve tried everything and now I always have low background noise to go to sleep. All I want is to go to sleep and have a solid 6 hours, I don’t think that’s too much to ask for🙈 I just want to sleep😳

Also, Remember that about 4 hours of sleep is enough to regulate your systems. 5 hours is better but around 4 is plenty for your body.

what also helped me is that apparently laying with the intent of resting is more regenerating than being awake and doing things so even if I can't fall asleep I'm still recovering a bit

for me: change the bed end/ sleep on the other end of the bed (almost always works), cold on chest, writing down whats keeping me up, trying to stay awake, fake sleeping (breathing like I would do when I sleep)
