I'll explain this in two ways. First as a Divinity student and secondly as a history student. Now, the word Catholic,in Divinity it means universal, this means the world at large. The Bible calls the Letter of James, as a universal letter because,it was written to all people in the world.
Historically, Catholic was initiated by the Greeks and it spread the entire Europe because civilization was at a high rise, this is why most European states follow the Catholic Church. Now where does Anglican comes from? Anglican historically means "OF ENGLAND". The Anglican church, means "THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND". This was invented after England breaking away from the Catholic Church which by then was headed by Rome in the 1500s. However, one should not be proud to say am this or this, because, St.Paul warns us about this. He asks, "If one says is for Apollos and one says is for Paul, aren't they believing in one God."
This means that, Anglican or Catholic doesn't matter, after all we are all believing in one God. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
