@stripping.streamers: That was a close call… #flyfishing #flyfish #troutfishing

JenX :

Why would you leave it???

thadlallemand62 :

Thank you for respecting Trappers!

AverageGunNut :

Get a stick, so no one else finds it. It’s rusted to all hell so it’s been there a while, meaning no one is likely coming back for it.

Miscellany :

Purposefully triggered one of those when I was a kid since it was in a big culvert pool i liked to swim in, DNR got mad. Dunno why it wasn't marked with a flag or anything when rural kids were known to play in it

dontclickonme :

Gaily :

Gumdropp :

What exactly are they trying to catch? That’s a large mouse trap😁

Gay Man of A certain Age :

Is that a poacher's trap?

slim4 🇺🇸🇺🇦 :

bellabean12 :

the house i grew up in had a creek right next to it and all my neighbors knew i played in it. new guy drunk guy moved in two houses down and put the exact traps all over the creek where i played and said he didnt know even though he saw me in the creek all the time. and it was on the little island right next to my house no other area.

Shadow Fart :

I’ve had those snap on my fingers tons of times. It hurts but for like a minute. You’d be fine

Lotus :

this is a single foothold trap, my guess its in the water to trap beaver or forgotten. its not gonna do anything to a human unless a hand goes in it since most modern traps don't have jagged jaws. its simply an annoyance if stepped on. sincerely a trapper of 20 years
