Kell was out at a bar in Burleigh Heads and spotted what he thought was a girl with long, unreal hair. Same situation, quick glance, instant assumption and the boys hyped him up to make a move. He wanders over n goes to say gday… then realises it’s actually a long haired bloke. The boys went wild Kell felt like a proper idiot. And that story still gets brought up every time we’re on the piss and Kell still try’s to twist the truth Later we realised a lot this sort of thing happens heaps these days So we turned it into a skit. Two mates walking down the street. Catch a glimpse of long flowing hair. Slow-mo kicks in. Suit appears. Rose magically materialises. Cologne gets sprayed like it’s holy water. Mate in the background throwing fists thinking his boy’s about to pull. That’s how attraction works a lot of the time you build a whole story about someone in about three seconds. Before a word’s spoken, there’s already a movie playing in your head. Then the music cuts. “Hey beautiful, how ya goin?” Hair spins around. “How’s it going mate?” Fantasy instantly out the window. Rose hits the deck. Confidence evaporates. Mate goes from hype man to emotional support in record time. Bit of our usual exaggeration for comedy slow-mo walks, roses from nowhere, mates carrying on but the core idea’s real.
