@🤯:he’s a coyote, or the representation of the devil! the whole story is a big symbolism and I believe there are some references to the bible. Dennis is a "sheep" (innocent, naive) while Todd is a wolf/coyote, representing the Devil. At the start the farm owner tells Dennis to "trust no one but the sheep" which we can interpret as to only trust what's innocent and pure (as sheep are seen as a symbol of innocence in the bible) with that said, the farm owner probably already knew there was someone (or something) that wanted to take the sheep. So Todd basically lures Dennis in with love, but his true goal were the sheep and I believe also Dennis' soul. The fact Dennis falls in love with Todd represents him falling in to temptation, and despite the farm owner's warning, he still trusted the opposite of purity. In the end we understand Todd devoured all the sheep and came back where he came from (which I believe is supposed to be "hell") so at that Dennis is devastated: he's left with no love, no sheep. Nothing. So at that he takes his own life and falls into Darkness, following Todd. As I said earlier, Todd wanted to take not only the sheep, but also Dennis's soul. He "connected" with him through his mind and seduced him to fall down the cliff. So the title "the fallen lamb" is about Dennis: who was once pure and innocent, like a lamb, but then fell for a devil and lost everything, falling both metaphorically and literally. He was the representation of a sheep, eventually devoured after trusting a wolf. That's why Todd spent so much time with Dennis: to get to his mind and eventually get his soul. I also believe the part where Todd tells Dennis to kill a sheep is a sort of "reference" or foreshadowing (like that sheep was Dennis)
