@bakeandcookwith.julia: Takes a while, but it’s worth it 🫠 Here are my tips: 1. use a gel based foodcolour 2. you‘ll need quite a lot depending on your amount of buttercream 3. use an immersionblender to activate the pigments (as I do in the video) / You could also melt a small amount of coloured buttercream in the microwave and add it back to the rest, but this method will affect the texture and the cream might get too soft. 4. add a bit of black to your coloured buttercream to get a nice, deep shade :) #buttercream #redcake #cakedesign #foodcolouring #patient

If you add a drop of purple it cancels out the yellow and the whole thing dyes much much faster because you aren’t trying to choke out the yellow.

This comment section is really sending me. For the volume that's a reasonable amount of food coloring. You used the emersion blender to emulsify and thus deepen the color. It came out gorgeous.

Yall do realize using the blade tool is what makes it dark right? Not the actual amount of dye she uses💀 it gets rid of the air , the bubbles and it makes everything come together
