I am still learning, but the other day I was thinking, "I should prepare for Imbolc, I have never done it." and then I looked it up and saw when its celebrated and I felt so bad that I'd missed it, and the feeling was wierd... like I still needed to prepare and do it anyway. I tried to push that feeling away and work on preparing for Ostara but I kept coming back to wanting to do something for Imbolc. Now I know why. I wasn't late. I am not late. Thank you for this.

I wonder if this is part of why I’ve never felt connected to the “wheel of the year”… having these dates set has always felt off or perhaps it’s because I live and have grown up in a place where the seasonal changes are minimal. But this was a lovely reminder that we are not beholden to the Gregorian calendar
