I told a man we should go to Applebees for our first date. It was a deliberate decision because that Applebees was right in the middle of where we both live. After being weird about wanting us to split the bill he goes “let’s go somewhere more lowkey” I said “that was the lowkey option” we never went on a date.

I once had a man ask me out to sushi for dinner then try to switch to Wingstop the day of. It was supposed to be a first date… I cancelled and told him “Not sure if this is a test or if you honestly are broke right now but you could have chosen any other local restaurant, No thank you” and blocked him.
