A recent trend that I find interesting is people changing the motors from vintage cars into an electric one, I know it’s quite controversial but I find it great for people who want to pollute less but still like the look and the nostalgia that an old car brings

I think they’re a necessary next step if we want to keep the world from burning down, but my god it would be nice if car manufacturers cared about making something look like a car and not a spaceship. Surely they can’t look like that for practical reasons? Would love a classic-looking electric car range

I dont think electric cars are the future, they need more resources than petrol cars, and these resources arent mined under the best of conditions, often including child labor and even worse emmisions, i however think hydrogen is a good idea, since it is still combustion, but clean, but we will need to do much more research on hydrogen, and the ways we can use it, the hyundai n74(?) for example is a car id like, with it being planned to be hydrogen powered and thus being an combustion engine, also i think cars owadays have too much "helping" features, for example lane assistant, or automatic parking, or even autopilot, half the people that own a car cant drive it wothout assistance, so what will happen if these systems fail, what is someone who was in driving school using automatic parking gonna do when the cameras break, or the computer fails, just stand on the street?

I recently got an electric car (nothing fun, a Skoda Enyaq!) but honestly I love it. It’s definitely a ‘practical’ car but that’s what I need in my life. I love nostalgia, simplicity… but nothing beats the ease having an electric car brings me!

Most of the EV hate comes from the fact that new EVs are either gigantic bland SUVs or full on cyberpunk, so the average buyer can’t feel any familiarity with the design. I love the Xiaomi cars though

As dumb as it sounds people are hating on EVs purely because there is no engine noise. EVs are the future, it’s just a much more efficient way to drive.

It's just a different side of the same coin. I drive a Polestar 2 and a KTM 1190 ADV. I like the seamless acceleration, the little whine of the electric motor, the gliding luxury feeling. I also like the roughness of the V-twin, the roar of the exhaust, the challenge of keeping it in the optimal revs.

My personal opinion is that electric cars are a great idea, but at the moment all that’s being done is transferring pollution to a third world country. They don’t last. And they don’t hold their value. I think a vintage or classic car is more green. Eg, they last longer, they hold their value better and only require wearables to be replaced. All of which are recyclable.

I think cars have personality, EVs are just different in personality... and I don't think they're the future, not on their own, synthetic fuels are being used in motorsport and i can see that trickling down to road cars, so I think the future looks more like mix of ICE, EV and any other propulsion methods for cars, I don't see a single one "winning"

I hate this view that EV's don't have a "Soul". As a car enthusiast for 45+ years (I'm 53) and having owned many petrol, diesel, and now 3 EV's, I can definitely say they do have a "soul". Is the characteristics different? Yes. But all 3 EV's have had different "personalities" for a better word. Just like every car I've owned. Some are dull and boring (like My Diesel Kia Sorrento & Model Y), some are fun, like my F-Pace Sport and Stinger..... And My Polestar 2 - an EV. They are different..... Not abcent of personality.

As a basic mode of transport electric cars are set up to 100% be the future, but yeah if you romanticise cars then yeah they won’t really fill that purpose but in reality that isn’t the majority of

classic charm combined with modern tech is what id like to see and surprisingly Ford had a concept for a truck that follows this model and I loved it but I belive its been scrapped

I personally can't drive anything that isn't a manual stick, preferably 6-speed short throw. and I would prefer carburetor if at all possible but that's getting less and less likely. but I think that the future is actually hydrogen combustion. electric is a temporary fix batteries are too expensive, and costly.

the problem with EVs is not that they're electric, it's that they're too modern. to the point that hey don't let me just drive the damn car. automatic parking, lane assist, touch screen controls for basic shit, eye tracking with a damn voiced backseat driver. it's not just EVs, but it's damn near all EVs.

My daughter has a Tesla and it's ok. The thing with electric cars is where do the batteries go when they are of no use anymore? Landfill? To me that's no better than petrol cars.
