One shoe policy needs to be mainstreamed imo. Sorta similar, I did fencing for many years and my left shoe would always get worn down faster than my right. Couldn’t buy just one fencing shoe so I had a lefty friend at my club and we used to swap a shoe when it was time to retire the worn down shoe. I was lucky to have a lefty friend. But not everyone does and fencing shoes can be expensive

Adidas have always been accommodating. I have 1.5 size difference between my feet and they were the only brand that would allow me to buy mismatched sizes. I even bought a pair of their custom made shoes
