you can also use about 2 tbs of course salt, a splash of water and scrub with a paper towel. rinse and warm it back up to evaporate the water.

🙄🙄 Just use kosher salt and scrub it down then rinse with water. None of this weird methods and no soap.

Alternatively you can get water from a pond, but you would need to find a pond that holds water.

I just get the pan hot and throw warm ish water on it and then scrape it with a wood spach and then a paper towel and then re heat and it’s good

The reason the water doesn’t bead up immediately is because the soap breaks the surface tension. As you said as long as it’s seasoned dish soap doesn’t hurt it at all.

I just heat the oil and fat up. whippe it off with paper tissues till it's clean, then I rinse it with water, good as new 👍
