if you actually watched jamie's reason behind marrying laoghaire, this plot is understandable. Besides, claire was 12 or more years long gone already. who would've thought she'd be back? jamie was just trying to live with a purpose. he did it for the little girls, not for laoghaire

Jamie definitely had the worse end out of that time apart. he was forced to have relations with his second baby mama, married another woman to save her and her kids, was alone all that time. Claire had Frank, Brianna and her work, friends and some type of freedom. but I feel like Claire took it harder. she was d*ad without Jamie.
