I know im late but i have no one to ask i hope you or anyone see this and answer my father used to be good not really great but fine till he started drinking alcohol and became addicted to it always bieng drunk and with my brother bieng a teenager he makes my dad angry and we all had a big fight that led to my dad leaving then came back same night at 2am and drunk he started hitting my brother i was next to him crying he hit me too my mom came and tried to stop it all and well he hit her too… its been a month now i haven’t talked to him my brother did because mom told him to say sorry even tho mom isnt talking to dad but i dont want to forgive him yet yes i do feel bad sometimes but he made me go through alot (btw after the fight he everyday drunk cusses me screams yells ect but i ignore it ) and my mom want to divorce him but in my country its not easy and needs lots of money so today he was saying basically he wishes from god that i don’t succeed in life because I don’t talk to him and yh we fought obviously i didnt say anything ect till he came and we talked how he sees he didn’t do anything wrong and that hitting his children is ok and that even if hes wrong which he said he isnt he says we should beg for forgiveness so idk i do feel bad that he cried and i know he loves me i know he loved me most since i was born i know that but he doesn’t know how to love and he hurted my mom the most precious person i have in my life so im asking religiously in islam what should i do and thank you so much
