@thepulsesd: We were lucky to be invited to attend a live painting event in Lieper’s Fork at The Southern Underground Gallery with the one and only John Carter Cash. John is an accomplished and award-winning record producer, film producer, writer, and director, a singer-songwriter and author, and now he is adding Visual Artist to his resume. He unveiled his first visual art exhibition, “Dark Hallways,” at the event and painted for a live audience. The live painting then became available for bidding with a portion of the proceeds benefiting SOS Children’s Villages International in support of their humanitarian relief efforts in Jamaica. We had a chance to speak to John about his inspiration and passion for art! 🎨🎨 Working primarily in oil, he uses forced perspective, compressed interiors, and repeated structural motifs: hallways, doors, windows, and corridors to explore memory, isolation, and transition. His paintings are rooted in psychological architecture and emotional space rather than literal place. They are stunning!
