I was in and out of therapy and because of my memory loss we would go in circles. It wasn’t until my late 20’s I found a therapist that helped me more in a year than any other therapist. She gave me my CPTSD diagnosis and I don’t think I would be were I am with out that woman. She told me that not everyone is trained in trauma therapy. I was in a horrible horrible place and I will always be grateful for her. You really have to dig at yourself and when you find the right person is easier and doesn’t hurt as much but if you don’t the digging is painful and you can’t keep going. She will always have a special place in my heart.

I’ve seen many therapists and different modalities. Even EMDR, regression, ACT, RO-DBT etc…none of it works or makes any sense to me.

I’m surprised it’s 60% that’s actually pretty good. I assumed it was lower.

Been in and out of therapy for 4 years but up until a few months ago none of it had really helped at all. Started off with GAD and MDD diagnosis, but now we know I have OCD and potentially ADHD which we’re looking into and I feel like I’ve made so much progress

for me somatic sexology was literally more healing than therapy ever was

yeah, the Real question is: did the talk therapy failed or was it the inconsistent therapist that cannot take accountability that failed the client but re-framed it as "it isn't my fault why I am terminating you on a spot (knowing well this will re-traumatise you) it is talk therapy doesn't work for you...
