I’m sorry. While most think inappropriate, cops deal with situations differently than ppl who are not cops. My husband and son have very dark humor. It’s a coping mechanism. I had to get used to it with my husband but I see now this a coping mechanism. We should not judge

So dude that ran her over dash cam showed her look directly at the officer before running out in front of him. Which was the original finding in the crash. He was operating with all his emergency equipment at the time. The convo between the other two officers was dudes union rep and union president discussing what the ADA had directly stated to them at the time for that crash and what they had stated to prior crashes.

Ok comment was very inappropriate. However I feel this is a stress coping mechanism. Thank goodness I didn’t have a body cam in Iraq. Some retraining is warranted and possibly some discipline. But termination is too far. If you don’t live of have lived in life or death situation you should reserve your comments

sometimes we make stupid insensitive jokes, laugh just to cope with all the death, blood and guts we see over a career. sucks but it gets us though it and allows us to go to the next call and do it all over again tomorrow

I was shocked af when I heard that. And it's difficult to separate feelings sometimes. I grew up with a dark sense of humor. I've been around suicides, hung out at OMI, and worked at a hospital. A lot of decompression is needed.

Unfortunately there is limited to no privacy in a police car and his poor attention to detail led to this result. Should he have been fired? No. Suspended yes.

Between hot mics & knowing you have cameras the guy knew better. I can speak for fire & assume Leo is the same, Part of the issue is becoming desensitized, I’m not sticking up for this guy but I can say if you never had a career in this line u don’t know anything, just like I know nothing about brain surgery
