I work in IT, and have also built hundreds of systems. there is nothing wrong the nvidia app. Sure you can optimize it better than it can, but it doesn’t do that bad really. It also makes it easy to be aware of the latest updates. To date I haven’t seen any performance loss due to the app unless you mean the nvidia overlay, but you can turn that off.

Don’t change power management to maximum performance. It causes your gpus clock speed to be running at full no matter what your doing. Your gpu will already increase your clock speeds by itself when running a game or whatever
