Was he petty? Yes. He went to her office to embarrass her, but in his defense he got left to watch a kid (that he specifically stated he didn't want to take care of) and he 'got fed up'. It wasn't necessary and it was petty and kinda mean, but he did not cause harm to her. Just her reputation.
He did comment on her being dirty, but he did feel bad and tried to fix it for her, so her life can be easier. And if my neighbor came in (even after me asking him for help) and started asking: "Oh, are you together with the girl/boy you're living with?"...well he wouldn't be exactly my new favorite person either.
And to address the unfair treatment. In his mind, she was the choice his brother made after dumping him. He choose her sister and her above him. He hated what she symbolizes, not what she is. In fact, after he saw what she is, he immediately started liking her.
What was said in the video about the...pancakes? (I believe so). I kinda agree and disagree. He build a defensive character mechanism. He lasses out when feeling embarrassed and disappointed. He was waiting for her, but not only she didn't come when she said (a thing she has done multiple times and if you are living with a stranger and have an agreement, you don't) but he saw her with a potential love interest, which hurt him. Tho I wholeheartedly agree with you, you shouldn't have to brace yourself to get yelled at when you get home, that isn't the mental state anyone should be experiencing.
I get what you are saying, but real people in real life are often not ideal beings. They hurt each other and make stupid mistakes, but they also love truly and try to fix their mistakes (and more seldom) themselves. That is what I am choosing to see. A person struggling to better himself and taking little steps towards love and family. 🤍
Always looking forward to your reviews ( both when I agree and disagree), they make me think in different ways and you are always as objective as you can be!
