Just sun safe clothing, no sleeveless tops. Crocs are fine. Label everything, shoes included

if arlo is walking and he hasnt mastered shoes yet. dont put him anything but socks. because hes blind then hes going to be feeling different surfaces with his hands and his feet. but id go with no laces. just like slip on shoes. as for food, hell be provided with something.
pack a few shirts, shorts, socks, something that smells like you, hat, sunscreen, a sensory toy that he can feel and hear.

They can wear thongs if you like they don’t bother what type of shoes they have as they take them off anyway

He’s just gorgeous!!! 🥹 I hope it went well. As an educator sun safe clothing, hat, and label EVERYTHING!! it saves so much hassle with pickup, I’ve lost track of the amount of socks, shoes and all things we’ve looked for at the end of the day 😅

I’m not sure where you are from but we live in rural FNQ. Shoes are optional at my son’s daycare. If kids do happen to wear them they don’t last long before they are kicked off. My son has been at daycare over a year and never worn shoes there lol good luck Arlo!

another educator commented this but also as an educator crocks or duckies are the best! duckies are great for growing feet, easily washable and easy to get on and off feet

My son was one in Jan and started daycare and started walking on his fist birthday and he has been going for a month and hasn’t worn any shoes or I haven’t packed any either. I read no shoes for 6-8 weeks from the time they become confident with walking. I’ll start to send him in Crocs in a few more weeks and then probably crocs and socks when it’s colder haha
