ANOTHER COLLAB EDIT (Ryo's Version) Edited by: @denialdesu Drawn by: @bocchilover4000 Ib: @m1hatee #bocchitherock #ryoyamada #bocchi #bocchitherockanime Ryo Yamada is one of the main characters in Bocchi the Rock! and the bassist of Kessoku Band. She has a really distinct personality that makes her stand out from the rest of the group. At first, Ryo comes across as someone who is quiet, cool, and a little difficult to read. She usually has a calm expression and speaks in a pretty straightforward way, so she can seem like she does not care much about what other people think. However, underneath that cool attitude, she is actually a pretty strange and unpredictable person. Ryo has a strong interest in music, especially when it comes to experimenting with sounds and playing bass, and she takes her instrument seriously. She is the kind of person who can get completely absorbed in her own ideas, even if those ideas do not make much sense to everyone else. Her love for music is one of the biggest parts of her identity, and it is also what helps connect her to the other members of Kessoku Band. Ryo is especially close to Nijika Ijichi, who has been her friend for a long time and is one of the few people who really understands her personality. Their friendship is funny because Nijika is usually the more responsible one, while Ryo tends to be the person who causes problems without really meaning to. Ryo is known for spending money irresponsibly, especially on music equipment, and she often ends up borrowing money from Nijika. Even though she can be selfish or absent-minded, she is not a bad person. She just has a very unusual way of thinking and does not always realize how her actions affect others. One of the things that makes Ryo interesting is how different she is from Bocchi. Bocchi is extremely shy and constantly worries about how other people see her, while Ryo is much more comfortable doing her own thing. Ryo does not seem to feel the same pressure to fit in, and she is usually willing to say whatever is on her mind. At the same time, she is not necessarily more emotionally mature than Bocchi. She can be awkward in her own way, and her lack of concern for normal social expectations sometimes makes her seem even more bizarre. Her friendship with Bocchi is also interesting because Ryo is one of the first people to recognize Bocchi’s talent as a guitarist. She sees something special in Bocchi’s playing and encourages her to join Kessoku Band, even though Bocchi is initially terrified of the idea. Ryo’s support is not always expressed in a warm or obvious way, but it still matters because she recognizes Bocchi as a musician rather than just someone who is socially awkward. This is an important part of Ryo’s character because music is how she connects with people. She may not always be good at expressing her feelings, but she understands people through their creativity and the things they are passionate about. As a bassist, Ryo also has a different approach to music compared to some of the other members. She enjoys playing in a way that supports the overall sound of the band, but she also likes trying unusual ideas and creating her own style. Her bass playing reflects her personality because it can be both laid-back and surprisingly creative. She is not the loudest or most expressive member of the band, but she has a strong presence that helps give Kessoku Band its identity. Ryo also has a very recognizable appearance, with her short blue hair, her cool expression, and her school uniform. Her design matches her personality because she looks composed and confident, even when she is doing something completely ridiculous. She is often portrayed as someone who seems mysterious at first but becomes funnier the more you learn about her. A lot of her humor comes from the contrast between her serious appearance and her strange behavior.
