One piece :

One Piece changed my life I got really depressed once and I was bed rotting always on YouTube or trying to read to bring myself any form of joy. My favorite YouTubers weren’t helping anymore and I kept going on Netflix. Eventually turned One Piece on and within the first arc I was feeling so much lighter because I had been given so much hope. I felt like I was personally being seen. Monkey D. Luffy is a character that you would think is just pure jolly but he’s shown me in SO many ways how to preserve myself on my worst days and to look forward to the future with a goal, even if it’s small. I turn it on whenever I’m in a bad mood and want to cry and realize I’m not alone. It’s a silly reason, honestly, but One Piece has shown me so much. It’s changed my views on everything and has given me a goal for my future. I’ve been given an idea of freedom, shown hope and brought ambition to myself. I’ve realized my loyalty isn’t a flaw like others have shown, that my discipline isn’t strange. My knowledge IS survival. I’m brave even when I’m scared now. I’ve learned to be kind and heal myself. I’ve followed my creativity of writing because I’ve been shown that it’s not all bad even if my family doesn’t support me on it. I’ve searched for the truth of my ambitions. I’ve found a way of equality even when there wasn’t any in a cold household. I’ve been shown pure joy by this.

I love one piece so darn much I know it has its flaws but it’s genuinely so amazing and it makes me feel like I can actually achieve something. I love seeing how silly it can be yet how horrible the world is there. It shows ugly truths yet it’s being slowly destroyed by one man and his crew who want to achieve their dreams no matter how much.
