How can you say you are not doing progress when he's eating out of your hand essentially? I've seen people posting having cats hiss at them for months. Living under their couches for months. And some taking a year to come out. I don't know how those people have so much patience and chill in them to allow the cats to literally take their sweet time, but it also seems to work. As long as the cat is safe, warm, fed, they will eventually figure out it's ok, I guess 🤔 So just don't be discouraged and prepare yourself for a long ride ❤️

This is the method I used for our feral kitten and it worked amazing. I think the biggest take away from it is just having them initiate contact with you and “invade” your space rather than you invading theirs. That really seems to build that confidence that you aren’t so scary after all. You got this!

With my feral cat it took about 3 months before I saw any real progress and then it suddenly came all at once. She went from hiding to coming out and wanting pets within like 48hours very suddenly. She's now 14 and living her best indoor cat life, even lived with another cat for a good chunk of her life until he passed. She also fully tolerates or even likes visitors although that took a while longer.

we caught a farel and had her sleep in a crate while we slept and eventually opened it and let her come and go. Eventually she became the most living sweet girl who only loved us
