Could you discuss how a person who did NOT endure horrific abuse or have a trauma ridden childhood could end up with cptsd? Am i just minimizing what i experienced or is it possible that simply the absence of proper emotional care growing up can do all this?

This would make sense as to why CPTSD is often misdiagnosed as ADHD / Anxiety or Broader Line. A LOT of the symptoms overlap or could easily be mistaken for ADHD. Like the freeze response could be seen as Executive distinction.

It’s wild how much overlap there can be between Autism or ADHD and CPTSD… thought I was autistic for a while until I was diagnosed with CPTSD and then it all made sense!

Thanks for validating my experience, one of the hardest things about C-PTSD is that people diminish the symptoms as easily correctable with awareness, but it actually takes a ton of work to convince my brain that there isn’t constant danger around other people
