I’m in the rare percentage of women who develop it shortly after I deliver-thankfully on that part. I’ve had pre-eclampsia twice and hellp syndrome once. The biggest two things I would give advice on is 1., make sure your doctor is on top of your health. 2. Eat a healthy diet, exercise lightly, etc to do what you can to have the healthiest pregnancy.

Yeah it’s the IV fluid. In my case it was, they gave me one injection and flushed it out. My swelling went down within 24hrs

I had an amazing OB who caught my preeclampsia towards the end of my pregnancy. She sent me to the hospital to have my baby right away.

Swelling is normal to a certain extent is normal. Putting edema is not. That’s why we encourage moms to walk and void

I had complications the day before I has my baby, high bp, vision was blurry and swelling. they had to induce me since it wasn't getting better, had her 2 weeks early and went home huge swollen and blurry vision. my bp was fine and then days of swelling finally went away. so scary

don't your nurses do that? 😳 I was checked for swelling daily for the first week after giving birth and then whenever the baby had appointments, they checked me.
