because sodium laureth sulfate is yellow using color theory purple which is made with red and blue cancels yellow making it clear

because obviously its not 100% translucent and its used to give a slight hue, just enough to differentiate between it and something that is so you can properly tell how empty or full it is

To offset the yellow tint of the other chemicals. Red+Blue=Purple which will make the otherwise yellow tint look clear.

Because it’s clearly purple soap, not clear soap. They have to get the color from somewhere.
