Now mention that these roles require a MINIMUM of 15+ years of doing this at equally impressive companies, along with an Ivy League education, and a minimum of a masters but PhD preferred. So yeah, if you’re 45+ years old with a resume that would blow anyone out of the water, you’re a great candidate for one of these impossible to get roles!

I’m an IT Program Manager w/ a bachelors in communications and masters in IT Management. I make $150K base and I coupled my comms undergrad and my soft skills with my understanding of IT networks and PM work. The ability is to communicate and convey yourself well is paramount no matter the field!

Im a Comm major turned Salesforce Admin who gets paid 100k a year to help employees understand their own data. Because big high up directors and managers are busy all day in meetings or running XFN projects they need me to build a dashboard or investigate why a number is wrong in their mind. Ai can do a lot but if you genuinely dont understand your data and how it works then Ai will not save you. You need a human to understand it and communicate about it. Boom for the Com major who minored in business and grabbed a few tech certs.

Was just thinking the other day, that the most valuable skill will be around language. The best prompt writers will need a strong command of language. Editing outputs will also require it. Lastly, persuasion/sales will also be critical.
