Gen X understands DMX because many of us were DMX at some point in our life. We tried to give our kids what we never had and they still asked for more. Lacked compassion. Did not return the love that was given. Love that may of us were never shown. I respect DMX a lot and that interview with his older son and that lady hurt me to the core. He wasn’t pretentious he was honest with his feelings. Honest with his issues. And only asked for understanding and patience. A grown man begging his son to understand that his dad was still growing, still learning life, and trying to accept change and love. All things that was foreign to him. And his son turned his back. At the end of the day his feelings were more important than his dads. Somehow his pain was worse than what his father went through. Then they wonder why we are so quiet. In the end DMX was defeated by the people he loved the most.
