@daughters.healing: If your mother hurts you, here is the healthy way for her to respond. #narcissisticabuserecovery #narcissisticfamilysystem #narcissisticmother #borderlinemother #toxicmother
never ever in my entire life has my mom validated a single one of my feelings nor apologized, I'm 40 and she has "no idea" why I won't talk to her.

I’ve been through this too many times. It’s not worth telling her she hurt me. She will only get mad at me. My only solution is to keep my distance.

I did do all of those…apologized for hurting her feelings, took responsibility and she went no contact.

What if I told her something hurt me and I wanted to clarify then she said “that’s not true I never meant it like that”. I thought everything was cleared up and the next day my dad called me and said “idk what you and your mom talked about but she’s really upset and has been crying all day.”

My uncle said to me last year “it’s time to let it go”. Welp. I’ve let everyone go. It’s not okay to hurt me year after year. 😏

I told my mum the other day I'm trying to process being a child and told she loved me but didn't like me and how a child sees that the same as "I'm saying I love you because I have to". All I got was "I didn't mean it like that, if it hurt you I'm sorry and I do love you but, you were a difficult child and I was following what super nanny told people to do". When an apology comes with a but it's not an apology

Me: “Mom, you swore you wouldn’t do that again! Why did you lie?” Mom: “it’s my God given right to lie to you.” 🙄

I’ve lived it. This is what she did repeatedly.

All depends on what the mom did. Telling them "no" is not tramatic. My oldest was hurt because I wouldn't buy him a car 😂😂😂

True but for those of us that don’t get that apology, we need to let go and forgive. We do that for ourselves!💕
