Yes, because pink is red + white and since you have a lot of green in your skin it will neutralise the red and the pink lipstick will look washed out. For me purple works amazing but only saturated cool purple. Since I am olive but I have more yellow in the skin, when i put on a purple blush, the blue gets neutralised by my yellowish skin so the makeup ends up red 😭😭 (purple = blue + red). If you understand colour theory and experiment it on your skin, it will be easier to find the perfect shades for you! Olive skin is sooo complex and unexplored 🥺🫒

And for the pale olives- we need a version of those shades are desaturated. Anything too saturated still looks off even if the tone is right

As a soft autumn pale olive, respectfully purple makes me look like a vampire. Red and terracotta come out more like natural flush
