African countries were just created in the last century. They had tribes and kingdoms. White people created african countries by combining tribes together. And some of these tribes did not like each other. That is why there is still a lot of civil unrest in Africa.

Was slavery very common back then? Yes! But we’re talking about Indentured Servitude!! That was highly common and black tribes were giving their people FOR LABOR. To work off a debt and be freed. Thats not what happened. What happened was CHATTEL SLAVERY!! They did NOT sell their people into breeding farms, made into wallets and furniture. Etc. and those of us who had slaved ancestors (like myself being Scott-Irish) i don’t see that fact and justify it! My ppl have it bad enough and you’re telling me black ppl had it worse??!!! That infuriates me. That makes me stand and speak up for the injustices EVEN MORE… not turn a blind eye to it. Because it’s not “they did it to mine, why not yours too!” That’s an evil mindset. as an African, we learned that yes we did do slavery, but it was different from the reason reasons why it was done in America. We did it because we went to wars and took the people who were left. We took the survivors of the war and instead of killing them we put them to work. I’m not justifying our version of slavery, but it had nothing to do with the way you looked.
