I own a roofing company. It’s probably the seal around the flashing. I would say tear up around that flashing to get it exposed and replace the felt with new stuff and replace flashing to make sure you cover all the steps so it doesn’t leak and put back together. Super simple and easy leak and fix. If you need more info I’m located in San Diego you can shoot me a message

a giant tarp over the spot on the outside. And dehumidifier are gonna be your best friend!! Its 100% worth it to spend money on a good one. As for the mold or mildew spots, I highly recommend Zep mold and mildew spray! For the constant leak until you can get a big enough tarp, if you have an 5gallon bucket, put it directly under it! Hope all goes well!

try and put some tarp wherever you can so it doesn't go through the ceiling into the bathroom

tarp it but make sure the tarp goes over the pitch/peak of the roof.

Tarp it over. Do not leave it like that. They can patch it as soon as it stops raining.

This exact same thing just happened to us! The boots weren’t sealed properly around all of the vent pipes. They had to just re seal around them.
