I watch different regions for different reasons. LCK was always ahead macro wise, good tactile gameplay, albeit a little slow. LPL was if I wanted to see skill checks and tons of kills. LCS was just kind of my home region and I loved TL Matt. But the LEC I always watched for the broadcast talent. You guys were so far ahead of everyone else when it came to content (LECTronic/EUphoria), providing storylines and making an everyday middle of the season match up feel like it meant something between two teams that were 3-6. You guys made it interesting and so much fun to tune in on the weekends that I didn't care who was playing, I wanted to hear the stories. You, Vedius, Medic, Drakos, Laure, Yamato (when he was there) among all of the cast members were so fantastic. Co-streaming won't do that for me. From an LCK fan that loves you guys, I hope you don't get replaced.

I only watch the broadcast. I enjoy the high level commentary, stats, history, information, interviews, etc. The feeling of something that’s bigger than just the game. Co-streaming is just a live reaction. Watching some dude watch a game and yell is boring. Sorry.

I dont know if you're aware of this but if you go on the lolesports website, and your account or website is set to a specific language, it automatically shows you the co-stream. for me that would be tolkin in Germany. I don't want to watch a costreamer, I go to the website to watch the official stream, yet I have to manually select it each time, so that's also an issue on the other side, incredibly frustrating 👍

I think the main broadcast is such an important thing for the life of the esport. it's what can build storylines or explain things post game or just keep it fresh and fun with content. obviously main reason to watch is the game itself but everything else you guys do is what makes it feel like an esport not just watching some league games

Costreams need to be their separate thing, I think Riot need to facilitate them to an extent but not give them the power that they seemingly do at this point. They need to actually invest in it in terms of effort (I’m directing this at management not the talent btw) and budget. They’ve stagnated, and it shows especially with what you’ve said about there not be willingness to take onboard cool ideas weekly to be in sync with current memes / pop culture.

No clean feed, co streamers can’t cover or not show main stream advertisments (by running their own twitch ads over them). Main stream can include more content streamers in the content, get them casting or in a skit every now and then? They’re part of the eco system, turn the us vs them into a universal US. Imo anyway

I think there should be a contract that riot should of done, the receive a % of earnings from the ad revenue or something like that in return u get co-streaming rights. Obviously that ship has sailed now, so I don’t know what u can do to sustain it properly

personally I love the main broadcast I miss the cool stuff U did Luke songs and the rap battle it was soooooo good 😭😭😭😭😭😭 ever since that stopped it's ugh.. I don't know if that makes sense but without those really dope features the main broadcast suffered it's personality which is why I enjoy caedrel now a lot.

I prefer the main broadcast, but I liked to dip into Caedrel’s stream to see his reaction when the rats were playing. And I’ll do the same with Toast when watching Disguised. I think I don’t really like the cross-talk in costreams.

As someone who watches both the regular LEC broadcast and Caedrel, the thing is, the broadcast has analysis and shout casting and narrative casters that spend so much time and energy learning about the teams and history and stuff, and the interviews with players between matches too. If you take that away and just have costreamers there’s no longer interaction with the players, but additionally I think it would be a fully different job for the costreamer to potentially be casting and analysing when they realistically are reacting and predicting and doing vastly different things during and between the games. I will understand if the broadcast starts getting gutted because of this shift, but it will make me so sad.

In Spanish they can use the official LES (not LEC) broadcast or the clean feed. Most co-streamers use the clean feed and have a play by play person and an analyst. Skain has a Caedrel style one and is probably one of the few.

Love u guys from the LEC, especially the interviews and PGL. I still like to watch via Ceadral mostly because it feels a bit like watching together with a friend, as sad as that sounds lol.

id be super curious to see the numbers for each reigon for official broadcast viewers vs costream viewers. and are we only accounting for live views or do we look at things like YouTube as well. For me personally my adhd can't handle people talking over other people so I only watch the official broadcast (lcs). but I feel like some reigons probably have a closer gap then others

main broadcast is crucial and so are their talent. I slowly stopped watching OWL cause they kept messing with the talent and desk segments and when bren and Sideshow switched to Val and they truthfully were the reason I gave that esport a chance! I mostly watch co-streamers but cant imagine how painful it would be without talent/desk driving the narratives and story telling a well as the play by play and color comms
