Hopefully the costume design team will get a nod at the Oscars. Did you notice how red was a recurring theme throughout the whole film? I think it represented Cathy’s life force against the bleak backdrops.

i thought the plastic dress kind of represented how her heart was not with linton, the relation was unnatural and she was out of it, hence the ridiculous outfits when with linton. when she is with heathcliff shes dressed much more natural

the 1st one to me is kind of cool cos I interrupt it as 'she is a gift'. if I remember this is when her and Linton just got married so it's a representation of her being a gift to him to unwrap and to own
