Im so sick of people who dismiss him because he wasn't as good on an instrument as others who play the same instrument. He played all the instruments in his band proficiently. To expect more from him would be ridiculous. He also achieved that at 17 years old

1 All tracks were produced, arranged, composed, and performed by Prince. First several albums. Plays many genres as well. Funk pop rock blues one reggae song jazz And so on.

I’m biased, as Prince is my all time favorite artist, but I go Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Duane Altman, Stevie Ray , Prince. But I agree, when looking at the whole package, Prince is number 1!
